MUSICVISION Phoenix

To celebrate Phoenix’s Grammy for the Best Alternative Album of the Year, here seventy two minutes in their musical world – twenty tunes that changed their lives and influenced the way they sound. I am kind of impressed with the Grammy’s this year. I enjoyed the fact that the Music Industry community has paid their respects to Phoenix and Kings of Leon, bands that have toured for over 10 years and have made more than 2 records. About the video itself, I love the way they romanticize and philosophize about some of the songs. It’s in French but with English subtitles. You can really hear the little production techniques and samples that they strive for in their music in these songs. I also love how their influences are so varied. I’m pretty sure that’s one of the reasons why they’re such a solid band. A great list of tune.
